Publication of draft 2016-17 Horizon 2020 Work Programmes

The European Commission has published draft versions of the Horizon 2020 Work Programmes for 2016-2017. The drafts are working documents that are not yet endorsed by the Commission. The drafts are published to provide potential participants with an insight into the priorities for the forthcoming Calls for Proposals. The pre-published versions can be downloaded here.

KTN in collaboration with Innovate UK is pleased to announce a series of events to launch the 2016 Horizon 2020 work programme for Societal Challenges 2 (Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy) and 5 (Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials).

Innovate UK and NERC are to invest up to £3.75 million in collaborative R&D projects and relevant technical feasibility studies to stimulate innovation to improve the productivity of agri-food systems using satellite technology.

The European Commission is organising an Information Day on 21 September in Brussels on 21 September 2015 to present the 2016 work programme of Horizon 2020’s societal challenge 5: “Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials”.

The Future and Emerging technologies Programme with H2020 is a entirely new programme seeking to promote transformational technologies, methods and concepts that will potentially result in entirely new industrial sectors. There are two components to the 2015 FET programme.
