Water Quality Sampling (EA)

Two datasets containing detailed and summary water quality data for the UK are available.

The two datasets are -

  • UK Water Quality Sampling Harmonised Monitoring Scheme Detailed Data - This dataset contains individual determinand results for all 230 sites from 1974 onwards. The sites are mainly located at the tidal limits of major rivers or at the points of confluence of significant tributaries and the information held within includes data on: Oxygen and ammonia, Nutrients, List II metals and Pesticides.

  • UK Water Quality Sampling Harmonised Monitoring Scheme Summary Data - This dataset contains statistics for a series of water quality sampling sites including annual means, maximum and minimum values for each Region for specified determinands from 1975 onwards. The sampling network includes 230 sites, which are mainly located at the tidal limits of major rivers or at the points of confluence of significant tributaries.

Supply format: Comma delimited.

Data availability: Available under the Open Government Licence (OGL).
